Punsand Bay Camping

Punsand Bay is a bush campground situated 5kms from the tip of Australia overlooking the blue seas of the Torres Strait. We have a range of powered and unpowered sites that are all different shapes and sizes which enables us to place multiple vehicles / groups together, pending availability and camp set-up. Over the years we have seen everything from your standard swag, 2WD vans, to a small house on our camp sites. In order for our reservations team to allocate you the best site possible please make sure to advise us of your set up on booking. There are three amenity blocks for our hot showers and toilets. We also have a guest laundry, swimming pool, bar and restaurant. Please note there are no camp kitchen facilities. We are dog friendly if your dog is friendly. Dogs must be always on a lead, be cleaned up after and not left unattended for long periods of time. They must not disturb your neighbors and are not allowed in the bar and restaurant. We are open seasonally, between April to December and strongly recommend booking in advance for all camping and accommodation, to ensure you don’t miss out.
