At Punsand Bay we have beachfront cabins, air-conditioned cabins and powered and unpowered camping sites. Despite our remote location, we provide all the modern conveniences for your comfort during your stay. This includes but is not limited to – laundry facilities, three amenities blocks, in-ground pool, tour booking service and ‘The Corrugation Bar & Restaurant’, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus snacks, espresso coffees and ice creams in between. Punsand Bay is a family owned and operated business and is open seasonally from April to December. We strongly recommend making a booking to ensure you don’t miss out.


Our beachfront cabins come with the beautiful view of Punsand Bay beach and the Torres Strait. These basic cabins are the perfect option for those who want to take a break from camping, with a comfortable bed to sleep in. There are two types of beachfront cabins available with different bedding configurations.

Our air-conditioned cabins/rooms all are equipped with their own ensuites, can sleep up to four people and have parking directly in front, with linen and towels provided. They are perfect for families, taking a break from the warm weather and enjoying a reset from corrugations and red dirt.

We are a bush campground which means all of our sites come in different shapes and sizes. We have powered and unpowered sites for tents and campers, with limited space for caravans. There are 3 x amenity blocks with hot showers and toilets. Please note there are no camp kitchen facilities.

Punsand Bay has an on-site bar and restaurant, which is close to our swimming pool. Our reception is open 7 days a week for your convenience and stocks some basic grocery items and a great range of merchandise. We also provide a tour booking and information service.
